Riordan’s SuperValu is a 3rd generation family run store, having set up shop back in the 1920’s in Rathcormac. The move to Fermoy took place in 1965 when the Riordan Family opened up the first ever self-service retail outlet in the area. The first Riordan’s Supermarket, then a VG store, was on McCurtin Street but after 20 years and 3 expansions they ran out of room, moved to the current location and the Top Hat Dance Hall became a Supermarket.

Through the years even though the building has changed the Riordan Family’s values, taking care of their customers, their staff and the community have remained constant.
